What looked like a mucky forecast for a rainy Saturday was rolled back to just an overcast sky by 12:30 in Central Park in New York. Hundreds of dog lovers with their pups converged on the Naumburg Bandshell at 72nd Street in New York’s Central Park for the annual My Dog Loves Central Park event.
Events of the day included a Halloween-themed agility run, a talent show and a costume contest. The littlest New Yorkers performed their best tricks for the crowd to much fanfare and applause.
Sponsors of the event Biscuits and Bath offered a mini-make over for four-leggeds, and Martha Stewart Pets created a pumpkin-patch photo booth for pups and their owners with masks and props for portraits.
According to the Central Park Conservancy’s web site, this mission of the event is to foster a dialog between dog owners and the Conservancy, on behalf of the Park. Here are few more highlights of the day for more pix check us out on Instagram at NewYorkCityDog.
