Fun fact: Did you know that 1 in 3 American families owns a dog? If you’re without, then meet the adoptable dog of the week, Sophie. This darling girl has been through so much in her short life.
Sophie was given up to a local shelter and was the most terrified dog on the block. Volunteers had to crawl up to her because she would hunker down and reliever herself in fright. Only Sophie herself knows the trauma she has been exposed to. She was food aggressive and was covered in fleas and pressure ulcers on her hips.
Now? Sophie is a healthy and happy girl who is ready to go to her forever home. She is no longer food aggressive, she’s crate trained and is working on her leash and potty training with her foster mom Rebecca. This pretty girl is around 2-3 years old. She’s great with dogs and children but would prefer a home without cats, as she likes to chase them.
Won’t you give this transformed pup a home she can call her very own? For more information or to fill out an adoption application, visit Pibbles ‘n More Animal Rescue’s website.
