Meet Sully

It’s the calm before the holiday storm, New York. Instead of bringing that puppy home from the pet store, consider adopting a local pet in need like Sully here.

Just look at that smile!

Sully has quite the story and it starts like this: Sully was the victim of a car accident. The vet of his previous owners assured them that this handsome boy would live, but only if he received proper intensive care. The three year old pup had endured severe chest trauma, a tracheal tear as well as a punctured and collapsed lung. This poor little Australian Shepherd has been through a lot, to say the least.

Since Sully’s previous owner did not have the funds to give him the proper care he needed, they instructed the vet to put Sully to sleep. Thankfully, this compassionate vet decided call Bideawee instead where they were more than happy to take the little guy in! Sully is an undeniably loveable 34-pound mutt. We’re happy to report that he has made the long journey to a complete recovery! We just love happy endings, don’t you? Now, if only someone could give him the ultimate holiday wish: to find a new owner and home to call his own. Are you that somebody?

Sully would do best with an experienced dog family that will continue his housebreaking and provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation to accommodate to his Aussie herding genes. We’re told he is a bit of a sensitive boy that has been known to growl at some other dogs, mostly those that come on too strongly, which frightens him.  In the past, he has demonstrated some resource guarding with food and treats, therefore it would be ideal if he went to a home with children over age 12. Need additional information about Sully? Feel free to call 866-262-8133 or email Bideawee at [email protected] to schedule an appointment to meet him today!
