Beloved Bettie

Hello to you all here in the Big Apple! My name is Ms. Bettie and I am ready to be light of your family’s life!

I have quite the story to tell you about my life so far. I was left to die on the chilly streets of New York City after I was an unfortunate victim of a hit and run. When I was found, I was emaciated and so badly injured that my that my right back leg sadly had to be amputated. On top of that, my left hip was dislocated and I had horrible lesions where my skin was peeling off. Thankfully, the saints at Fifth Avenue Vet and Bideawee came to my complete rescue. With lots of love and hope for the future, I’ve learned how to live a happy life despite my handicap. The staff at Bideawee say that I don’t even seem to know that I’m only working with 3 legs!

I’m a very obedient and well mannered girl, at just 2 1/2 years old. I’d love to play ball with you. Won’t you come meet me and find out just how loving I can be? I should tell you, I would be best in a home with older children, as my size (51 pounds) can be a bit much for the younger ones when playing. I’ve been told I have a cute snore and a silly grin, too! To learn more about me or to make an appointment, call Bideawee at 212-532-4455.
