Shy Shelby

We have a new adoptable dog for your wandering eyes, NYC. Check out sweet miss Shelby!

The staff at HSNY believes this little girl is a Chihuahua or possibly an Italian Greyhound mix. She has quite the long legs on her. Shelby is a 5 year old cuddlebug but she is a little on the shy side at first. But once she gets to know you, all she will want to do is snuggle up by your side.

She is very loyal and will be a wonderful pup in a calm, quiet home.  The Humane Society of NY recommends a home with older children because she does get scared rather easily but the shelter staff is slowly working with her on that. They also prefer that Shelby goes to a home where she would be the only pet.

Like all dogs at HSNY, Shelby  is spayed and up to date on her routine shots. For more information or to schedule an appointment to meet Shelby, contact the Humane Society of NY by calling 212-752-4842 or stop by their Manhattan shelter located at 306 East 59th Street.
